Every year the family recuperates on our property near Jindabyne. This year the weather put on a dazzling show, from thunderheads heralding the promise of a storm to fire clouds from the Victorian fires, all reflected against the dry crackling grasses which glistened like spun gold in the sun. This is one of a series of my paintings attempting to capture the magnificence.
